ISP: Cyber Crime section has new area commander

The Indiana State Polices Special Investigation Command, Cyber Crime and Investigative Technologies Section of the Indiana State Polices Special Investigation Command for Area 1-which includes the Lowell Post-has a new chief.

Senior Trooper Scott Krueger was promoted to the rank of sergeant and named to head the Cyber Crime and Investigative Technologies Section byh ISP Superintendent Doug Carter.

Krueger is a native of Jasper County, has an associates degree from Purdue University in computer graphics technology and is currently completing his bachelors in criminal justice from Oakland City University

Krueger is a 2000 graduate of the ISP Recruit Academy and in his first assignment was tasked to the Lowell Post, where he worked southern Lake, Newton, and Jasper counties. He was re-assigned to Gaming in 2004 as a detective, returned to Lowell in 2005, and in 2007 was given temporary duty in the Criminal Investigation Division. A year later he joined the Gang Response Investigative Team, his most recent posting.

Area 1 includes the Lowell, Lafayette, and Peru districts.
