The Chesterton
Advisory Plan Commission will hold a new concept review of PSR LLC’s planned
unit development, when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the town
hall.
All attendees will
be required to wear masks and practice-social distancing.
The PUD would be
located south of 1050N, across the street from Dogwood Park and immediately
west of the Stone Meadows subdivision.
At their last
meeting, planners expressed their unease in particular with PSR’s plan to
build a pair of commercial buildings on the west end of the development.
Those two commercial buildings have been removed from the plan of
development, according to a new drawing submitted to the Plan Commission.
In addition, it
appears that multiple roadcuts along 1050N have been removed as well, with
one roadcut aligned with 23rd Street.
No further
information is currently available about PSR’s proposed PUD.
The Plan Commission
is at least two meetings away from an actual public hearing on the PUD. If
planners feel comfortable with the concept as it will be presented on Oct.
15, they could then schedule a more formal preliminary hearing on it at
their November meeting.
No other items of
business are on the Plan Commission’s Oct. 15 agenda.
