sustained minor injuries this morning in a two-vehicle accident at the
intersection of Ind. 149 and U.S. Highway 12, the Burns Harbor Fire
Department is reporting.
Fire Chief Bill
Arney told the Chesterton Tribune today that firefighters were
dispatched to the scene at 6:46 a.m., after a driver northbound on Ind. 149
attempted to turn left on U.S. 12 and was T-boned by a second vehicle.
The motorist had to
be extricated by firefighters, Arney said, and was then transported to
Porter Regional Hospital with “minor injuries.”
The other driver
escaped injury, Arney added.
The BHFD cleared
the scene at 7:27 a.m.
