Agnes R. Keneavy,
age 100 of Chesterton, IN, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, passed away on
December 27, 2018.
She was born on
November 7, 1918, in Jersey City, NJ, to Louis and Margaret Hammer, both of
whom preceded her in death.
In February of
1941, she married Matthew F. Keneavy, who preceded her in death in 1968.
She is survived by
her loving daughter, Barbara Callahan of Porter, IN; her adoring
grandchildren: Phyllis Ostrowski of Porter, IN, Patricia Callahan of Porter,
IN and Michael Callahan of Valparaiso, IN; her loving great-grandchildren:
Stephanie Ostrowski of Porter, IN, Alec Callahan of Valparaiso, IN, Joseph
Hall of Porter, IN, and Ella Callahan of Valparaiso, IN; and also by her
numerous nieces and nephews in New Jersey.
She is also
preceded in death by her siblings: John, George, Joseph, Nicholas, Mabel,
Charles, Margaret, Mary, and Josephine.
Agnes worked in
custodial services for the Jersey City School Corporation for many years.
She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services
will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 11 a.m., at White-Love Funeral
Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Fr. Jon Plavcan officiating.
The family will
receive friends on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of service, at the
funeral home.
Burial will take
place in Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.
