Memorial Service Thursday for Nina Grace Harsy, 83

Nina Grace Harsy, age 83 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on December 30, 2017.

She was born on December 29, 1934, in Duquoin, IL, to John and Clara Todd.

Nina is survived by her son, Wade (Linda) Harsy of Chesterton, IN; cherished and beloved grandchildren, Delanie (Stephen) Carey, of Highland, IN, Jesse Brown of Lowell, IN, Amanda (Benjamin) Harsy Ramsay of Lockport, IL, Courtney (Andrew) Harsy Shupp of Crown Point, IN; sister, Dora Harsy of Freeburg, IL; beloved cousin, Charlene (Wayne) Bigham of Duquoin, IL; brothers-in-law, Robert Harsy of Springfield, MO, Steven (Marilyn) Harsy of Highland, IL; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Harsy; son, Mark Harsy; and daughter, Rhonda Brown Nelson; and all of her other brothers and sisters.

Nina worked as a secretary at Scott Lad Foods in Lansing, IL, and retired after many years of service.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304, with Pastor Dean Christianson officiating.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation services provided by Heritage Crematory, Portage, IN.
