Michael A. Neill,
age 16, of Madison, WI, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, from injuries
sustained in an auto accident.
He was born on May
30, 2001, in Dearborn, Mich., the son of Joe and Sherri (Sievert) Neill.
Michael was a
student at Madison La Follette High School where he was a member of the La
Follette Lancers Cross Country and Track teams and a member of the high
school band. In addition, Michael was a member of the Messiah Lutheran
Church youth group, participating in several mission trips over the past
three years. He loved reading, gaming, baseball, and being with friends and
family.
In addition to his
parents, he is survived by his brother, Sean; grandmother, Ruby Sievert;
grandfather, Charles Neill; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in
death by his grandfather, William Sievert; and grandmother, Dorothy Neill.
Funeral services
will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison,
WI, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel
presiding.
Visitation will be
held at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Another visitation
will be held at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway St.,
Chesterton, Indiana, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017,
followed by burial at Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the Lancer Distance Crew in Care of Madison La
Follette Cross Country or to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Urology
Department.
