Services Friday for Mary Lucille Brady

Mary Lucille Brady, age 86 of Chesterton, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Franciscan Hospice of Michigan City.

She was born on April 7, 1929, in Lackawanna, NY, to Joseph Eugene and Marguerite Schmitt-Leo, both of whom preceded her in death.

On May 28, 1949, at Our Mother of Good Council Church in Blasdell, NY, she married William Brady, who survives in Chesterton.

Mary is also survived by her children: Donald (Mickey) Brady of Michigan City, Kathleen (Darryl) Gould of Porter, Karen (Darrell) French of Morgantown, IN, and Donna Marie (David) Ingham of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and her siblings: Eugene (Connie) Leo of Lackawanna, NY, Joseph (Joann) Leo of Baltimore, MD, and Rosemary (late Robert) Potter of Lackawanna, NY.

She is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-laws, Veronica and Richard Gorczyca and Joan Ann and Robert Pyanowski.

Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was a member of the funeral choir and made dishes for funeral luncheons. She loved creating special dishes for her friends and family, and was an awesome cook! Mary worked in food service in the Duneland School System. She was active in a bowling league and her bunko club. She enjoyed bird watching and walking trails at the beach.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 Calumet Chesterton, with Father James Meade officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
