On April 27, 2013, Jeanenne Ruth Dlutkowski, age 79, passed away quietly,
after a long, brave battle with cancer.
She was born in Chicago, Ill., to Ann and Joseph Berch.
On August 18, 1956, she married her one true love, Alfred Dlutkowski, who
preceded her in death in 2009.
She is survived by her faithful sister Barbara Keys of Florida, and her
children Paul (Cindy) Dlutkowski of Chesterton, Ind., Susan Dlutkowski
(David Harmon) of Atlantic Mine, Mich., Lisa (Peter) David of Washburn,
Wis., and Gary (Stephanie) Berch of Granger.
Also her grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Emma, Carrie, Madeline, Ben, Andy,
Nathaniel, and Victoria, as well as many nieces and nephews survive.
In 1968 she and Alfred moved their family to Beverly Shores. Jeanenne worked
diligently as a mother to her cherished children and also as an OB/GYN
medical assistant with The Medical Group in Michigan City. Her career
enabled her to touch the lives of a great many people in the Michigan City
and Duneland areas. Those who met her would hear her speak on her favorite
subjects: her children and grandchildren. Jeanenne's love of family and the
grace with which she met the challenges of her illness were inspirational to
those who knew her. She was a treasure and will be truly missed.
A life tribute celebration was held at St. Ann of the Dunes Church, in
Beverly Shores, Ind., on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., LaPorte, IN, handled
arrangements.
The family asks that those who wish to honor Jeanenne make a memorial
contribution to any of the following special organizations: the VNA Hospice
of Porter County, 2404 Valparaiso St., Valparaiso, IN, 46383; the Shirley
Heinze Land Trust, 109 W. 700 N., Valparaiso, IN, 46385; the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society; or the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
