Jacqueline Hamilton dies at age 59

Jacqueline J. Hamilton, age 59 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, in Chesterton, Ind.

She was born January 27, 1954, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

She was married on October 12, 1991 in Regina to Scott Hamilton, who survives of Chesterton, Ind.

Jackie is also survived by her sons, Derek (T. K. Chow) of Beijing, China, and Kevin (Eva) Smith of Sedona, Ariz.; daughters, Alia (Dean) Wall of Nelson, British Columbia, and Melanie (Roger) Porter of Bancroft, Ontario, Canada; brothers, Al (Linda) Dixon of Victoria, British Colombia and John Dixon of Regina, Saskatchewan; sisters, Gloria (Wilf) Leach of Nanaimo, British Colombia and Freda (Ray) Burgen of Regina, Saskatchewan; six grandchildren and one due in January.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and six sisters.

Jackie was a Registered Nurse, she last worked for VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Ind. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Chesterton and a member of Sand Creek Country Club and it’s Women’s Golf Association.

Cremation will take place and private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home.
