Service set for Shirley Ann Doyle

Shirley Ann Doyle passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at Porter Portage Hospital Campus. She was 69.

Shirley was born on June 3, 1941 in St. Louis, Mo. to Floyd and Bernice (Findley) Harper. She married Charles Doyle, who preceded her in death in 1999.

Shirley is survived by her mother, Bernice Harper of Portage; daughter Lisa Crum (husband Paul) of Portage; brother Glenn Harper (Sherry Curski) of Portage; sisters Kathaleen Rudd (Charles) of Troy, Tenn. and Florence Hopper of Portage; and three grandchildren, John Mosier, Christine Pennington and Lindy Crum.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Harper, and a son, Chris Pennington.

Shirley worked as a CNA and an Activities Aid at the Golden Living Center-Fountainview Place in Portage. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist church in Portage, where she loved spending as much time as she could. She also loved to read.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage with Pastor John Allen officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.EE-FH.com
