Service set for Mark S. Grant II

Mark S. Grant II died Friday, April 17, 2009. He was 18.

Born April 30, 1990, he was the son of Mark S. Grant and Gina (Hogge) Walpole.

Mark is survived by his father, mother and stepfather, James Walpole; brothers, Benjamin and Dillon Walpole; sister Stepheny Grant; maternal grandparents, James and Mary Lou Hogge of Chesterton; paternal grandparents, Mark and Beth Grant of Chesterton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark worked at the Blue Chip Casino as a valet attendant and loved playing with his baby brothers. He also loved tinkering with mechanical engines and rigging them up to items such as skateboards and hanging out with his best friend, Ray Herrold, and numerous other friends. Mark loved to mess around in the garage with his father and was a Corvette enthusiast. Mark loved to be loud and had a great enthusiasm for life.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St., Westville, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Westville High School. Rev. Dr. Karen Altergott will officiate.
