Patricia A. 'Patti' Skinner dies at 59

Patricia A. “Patti” Skinner, of Buffalo, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. She was 59.

She was born Oct. 31, 1947 in Chesterton, the daughter of Alfred and Alice “Dolly” (Lindahl) Morris, both of whom preceded her in death.

On July 25, 1981 in Francesville, she married Terry Skinner who survives in Buffalo.

She is also survived by three sons, Laine (Melanie) Cole of Lafayette, Lyal (Melissa) Cole of Francessville and Cpl. Terry Skinner, stationed in Alaska; a step-son, Jamey (Jodie) Skinner of Chicago Heights, Ill.; three daughters, Valerie Cole of Lafayette, Julie (Mike) Ransone, of Reynolds and Kristen Skinner of Buffalo; a brother, James Morris of Chesterton; a sister, Judy (Garland) Fraley of Chesterton and 12 grandchildren.

She was employed as a laborer in manufacturing. Patricia loved her three housedogs, bird watching, going to yard sales and spending time with her family.

A funeral service, Pastor Dennis Gutwein officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
