Michael J. Pampalone, Sr. dies at 91

Michael J. Pampalone, Sr., of Crown Point, formerly of Gary, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007. He was 91.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Marie Pampalone of Crown Point.

He is also survived by five children, Dominic (Debra) Pampalone of Valparaiso, Michael (Sherron) Pampalone, Jr. of Crown Point, Joseph (Arlene) Pampalone of Fairfield, Conn., Ann Lynn Pampalone of Crown Point and Thomas (Heidi) Pampalone of Chesterton; eight grandchildren, Nina (Dan) Tushinski, Matt (Meike) Pampalone, Jennifer (Brian) Dainton, Amber Beck, Adeline Pampalone, Michael Pampalone, III, Thomas M. Pampalone and Kathleen M. Pampalone; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Gasparine “Pam” Pampalone of Crown Point; brothers, Sam Pampalone, Nick (Theresa) Pampalone, Anthony (Marianne) Pampalone, all of Crown Point; Dominic (Judy) Pampalone and Angelo (Pricilla) Pampalone, both of Valparaiso and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service, Rev. Patrick Kalich officiating, was conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point going to St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet St., Crown Point for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment was at Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville.
