Lisa Ann Bloom dies at 30

Lisa Ann Bloom, of Westville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. She was 30.

She was born Nov. 7, 1976 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Donald C. and Carol L. (Payne) Bloom., who survive in Westville.

She is also survived by a sister, Denise (Dale) Klopfenstein of Galen, Mich.; a brother, Rex (Jennifer) Hayes of Dawsonville, Ga.; a sister, Deanna (Josh) Hofing of Indianapolis; grandmother, Doris Carnegie of Glencoe, Ontario, Canada; nephews and niece, Tyler and Katrena Klopfenstein, Logan, Kyle, and Wyatt Hayes and Bryce Hofing; and special friend, Brad Beharrell of Shedden, Ontario, Canada.

She was preceded in death by two grandfathers and one grandmother.

Lisa graduated from Chesterton High School in 1995 and went on to receive an Associates Degree as a medical assistant at Ivy Tech. She worked in the Deli at Wiseway Food Center in Chesterton, was the office manager for the family business, the Bloom Animal Clinic and helped around the Bloom Family Farm.

Lisa was in the Porter County 4-H for over 10 years. She loved to show angus cattle, and her horse, Snickers. She was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services, Rev. Dr. Karen Altergott officiating, will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Interment will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Porter County 4-H.
