Dawn Hattendorf dies at 51

Dawn Hattendorf, 51, of Surprise, Ariz. passed away December 8, 2007.

Dawn is survived by her husband George Hattendorf; mother Elaine Crumpacker of Valparaiso; children, Sarah Polito of Surprise, Ariz., Holly (Bryan) Blair of Shererville, Mark (Jaime) Hattendorf of Las Vegas, Nev., Lindsay Hattendorf of Bloomington, Ind.; grandchildren Addison Christine and Alexander Geoffry Blair; brothers, Dan (Jacqueline) Crumpacker of Newnan, Ga. and Dean (Debra) Crumpacker of Valparaiso; nephew Christopher (Robin) Crumpacker of Brownsburg, Ind., niece and goddaughter Rebecca Crumpacker (fiance Matthew Patton) of Valparaiso, grand nephew Zachary William Patton, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dawn received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Ind. She was a revered teacher, and taught for over twenty years. She was also an extraordinary wife, mother and friend.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Glendale, Arizona at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

A memorial service for Dawn will be held at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center in Valparaiso, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5.
