Lakeshore Festival & Events, Inc. announces a Yard Decorating Contest for our local residents for this year’s Wizard of Oz Festival September 16-18. The contest is open to all residents of Porter County.

It’s easy to enter and it’s free. Decorate your yards reflecting the 2005 Oz theme: “Dorothy and the Scarecrow Meet the Tin Man on the Yellow Brick Road.” All you have to do is get busy and start your creative juices flowing.

Applications may be picked up at the Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce, Porter County Tourism Center, Westchester Public Library, by visiting the website at www.wizardofozfestival.org

 or by calling 983-1691. Judging will take place during the week of Sept. 5.
