Lakeshore Festival and Events, Inc., the local non-profit sponsor of the Annual Chesterton Wizard of Oz Festival, recently elected a new officers for the 2005-06 year, which includes President, Brenda Maynard, Vice President Dee Spargur, Treasurer Dan Larson and Secretary Karen Bittorf.

At the recent Oz Festival Committee meeting, Maynard presented a plaque to Marilyn Zengler, honoring her service as Board president for 2004-05.

The annual Oz Festival would not be possible if it were not for the work of so many great community volunteers. The Oz Festival is always looking for volunteers from the community. There are over 30 committees from which to choose. Anyone interested in participating in any way is encouraged to attend an Oz Committee Meeting, held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The next regularly scheduled meeting is 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at Westchester Public Library, upstairs in the Bertha Wood room.
