Vandalism reported at Porter Beach

The Porter Police Department is reporting an incident of vandalism at the Porter Beach parking lot.

According to police, at 6:02 a.m. today an officer responded to the parking lot and discovered that the gates being used to close the lot had been cut.

“It appeared that someone wasn’t happy that the beach lot was still closed so they took a saw, possibly a reciprocating saw, and cut all the gate posts at the base.”

“Unknown at this time the costs to replace the gates at Porter Beach,” police added. “No suspects at this time.” Porter Street Department was advised of the damage.
