Demo against war in Iraq Saturday in Indianapolis

Partners for Peace, a Valparaiso University student based organization, is organizing a peaceful demonstration against the war in Iraq to take place on Saturday, March 29 at Monument Circle in Indianapolis. The demonstration is called, “Five Years too Long: Students for a New Agenda in Iraq.” Partners for Peace is working in conjunction with several colleges throughout the state of Indiana. In addition to students and faculty attending, other colleges, Indiana Peace and Justice Center and the Indiana Chapter of Veterans for Peace are also sponsoring this event.

The demonstration is set to run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, and will include speakers, live bands, and a vigil for lives lost in the war. Some of the speakers will include veterans, students, educators, religious leaders, and politicians.
