The Chesterton Park Department is reminding the public that the Skate Park
is still closed for legal reasons.
Signage outlining rules and regulations for use of the park, including
stating the town will have no liability for injuries at the site, is being
made.
The town attorney urged the closing of the park until signage was ready
after a recent incident where the lock and gate were forced open.
The park hopes to have the signage in place by this weekend, but to remind
all those who are anxious for the opening--the park is closed until the
signage is in place.
The park department intends to notify the Chesterton Tribune when the
park is officially and legally open.
