Chesterton Spring Cleanup Week April 14-18

Back To Front Page

The toughest winter in memory is now just a memory.

(Probably.)

It froze bones, battered spirits, and left yards a mess. Now it’s time to break out the rakes and tarps and clear space for the spring.

Next week--Monday, April 14, through Friday, April 18--will be Spring Cleanup Week in the Town of Chesterton.

Rake leaves and brush to the curb in separate piles.

The Street Department’s leaf vacs will be making the rounds next week. Crews will continue to collect brush past Friday, April 18, Street Commissioner John Schnadenberg told the Chesterton Tribune today.

“It’s been an intense winter,” Schnadenberg said. “We’ll try to take as much time as needed to pick up debris.”
