Bore and jack to put sewer line under U.S. 12: The Burns Harbor sanitary sewer project took another step toward completion this week, with the bore and jack under Rt. 12 and the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District train line. Midwest Mole, Inc., a subcontractor for Grimmer Construction, was on the job today on the south side of Rt. 12, near Shadyside Mobile Home Park. David McGinnis lies on his side to weld a steel casing into place to continue the bore, as Roger Bedsole watches. The steel pipe will be welded into place piece by piece to span the 300 foot needed under the road and rail line.
