The Chesterton varsity boys tennis team finished fourth place at the
eight-team Highland Doubles Tournament on Saturday. The Trojans top
performances came with third place finishes at number three and four
doubles.
At number three doubles, Sam Silverglade and Kevin Kokesh teamed together,
while at number four doubles, it was Jack Lines and Bruce Ruhmann.
“I was very pleased with fourth doubles,” Chesterton coach Mike Stiles said.
“I was hoping they would get two victories today and they did. I want to
keep on building and gaining confidence for them. That’s the one thing I
wanted to pull out of this tournament.
“Our third doubles also played well together, even though they had never
played together before.”
At number two doubles, Nick Kendall and Aaron Dittman placed fourth overall
and Gerard Pannekoek and Zach Stemer finished sixth at number one doubles.

Junior Varsity
Plymouth Tournament
The Chesterton boys junior varsity tennis team finished fourth overall at
Saturday’s Plymouth Tournament.
The Trojans brought home a championship at number two doubles as Ben Andrews
and Manhar Grewal took top honors. Sean Harmison and Siva Muthusamy finished
second at number one doubles.
