The Chesterton girls basketball team led 30-26 after three quarters, but
couldn’t hold on and dropped a 40-39 non-conference decision at Andrean on
Tuesday night.
Caroline Puntillo led the Trojan offense with 20 points, while Sarah
Richards added eight points. Haley Sekula added five points with Kelsey
Conway (4 points) and Jordan Wadding (3 points) rounding out the scoring.
Hannah McCafferty grabbed a team-best eight rebounds and Richards added a
team-high three assists.

The Chesterton junior varsity outscored Andrean 10-6 in the fourth quarter
to outlast the 59ers 34-27 on Tuesday night.
Lia Lombardini led the Trojans offense with eight points, while McKenzie
Sullivan and Kayla Malackowski each added seven points.
Jordan Wadding tossed in four points with Xaundra Rodriguez and Megan Kerkes
had two points each. Lauren Kusbel rounded out the scoring with one point.
