Trojan Boys Tennis 2nd at Highland Doubles

The Chesterton boys tennis team finished second overall on Saturday at the eight-team Highland Doubles Tournament

All four Trojan teams went 2-1 on the day with two runner-up finishes and two third-place’s.

At No. 1, Trey Moffett and Conner Kuhnle brought home third place after defeating Hammond Morton and Michigan City. The duo’s lone loss came to Lowell in the opening round.

At No. 2, Johny Mario and Dylan Jayasuriya advanced all the way to the championship round before falling to Crown Point. The duo beat Lowell and Michigan City on the day.

At No. 3, Zac Nabhan and Chris Fouts also made it to the finals before falling to the Bulldogs. Their victories came over Highland and Hammond Morton.

At No. 4, Tom McGue and James Jewison finished third with wins over Portage and Hammond Morton. The duo lost to Crown Point early in the day.
