Palombizio nets 31 as Trojans win at Hammond Morton

The Chesterton boys basketball team improved to 2-0 on the year with a 75-64 victory at Hammond Morton on Wednesday night.

The Trojans led 48-46 after three quarters, but outscored the Governors 27-18 in the fourth stanza to secure the victory.

Chris Palombizio led the CHS offense with 31 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Cole Teal and Jacob Wasielewski added 13 points with Corey Rusboldt scoring 12 points.

The Trojans were 26-of-31 from the foul line in the victory.

The Chesterton junior varsity used a 13-2 run midway through the third quarter to improve to 2-0 on the year after a 44-21 victory at Hammond Morton.

Jared Struss led the way for the Trojans with nine points (2 rebounds), while Luke Finke had eight points (4 rebounds) and Jordan Dilosa tallied seven points (3 rebounds).

Antwaan Beeks scored four points (8 rebounds, 5 steals) and Trent Weller had four points (4 steals, 2 assists).
