The Chesterton boys
soccer team dropped its first decision of the season on Saturday in a 1-0
defeat at Munster.
A scoreless game
through the first half, the Mustangs scored in the 57th minute when Nate
Kekelik scored the day’s only tally.
“We have to clear
the ball,” Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said. “I didn’t see the fight
from us I’ve seen in the past.”
appeared to tie the game on a goal by Harley Lohmeyer, but a foul against
Chesterton at the top of the box negated the goal.
CHS returns to the
field on Wednesday when they host Crown Point.
The JV game is set
for a 5 p.m. start.
