Help shine spotlight on successful Duneland collegiate athletes

Back to Front Page

The Chesterton Tribune would like to keep the community informed about CHS grads that are currently playing sports in college.

Every Friday beginning Jan. 2, the Tribune would like to run a College Corner with updates on area athletes participating in college at all levels and in all sports.

But, we are going to need your help.

Please e-mail news@chestertontribune.com

with updates on your student-athletes. Please do not send links to other websites or pictures, there just isn’t enough time or space to allow for it.

Any questions should be e-mailed to Sports Editor TR Harlan or you can call the Tribune at (219) 926-1131.

Here is an example of what you should include:

Joe Smith, a 2006 CHS grad, is the starting second baseman at Earlham College. The Lancers are currently 12-5 on the season. Smith is hitting .287 with four doubles, two triples and a home run. Smith was named Titleist Conference Defensive Player of the Week after Earlham swept a four-game series against Franklin after not committing an error in 17 attempts.
