The Michigan City Wolves are the Duneland Athletic Conference’s top team and they played like it on Thursday afternoon in picking up a 5-0 victory over Chesterton.

“Michigan City has a good team, but we didn’t play to our potential,” Chesterton coach Gretchen Shinn said. “I had hoped it could’ve been closer.”

The Trojans closest match came at number two doubles where Amanda Gore and Christine Lambert won the opening set 7-5 from Amy Kanyer and Brooke Foltz, but dropped the last two set by identical 7-5 scores.

“Our second doubles team had a hard-fought match, but came up just short,” Shinn said. “I’m really proud of their effort.”

The Trojans return to the court today when they host Mishawaka Marian beginning at 4:15 p.m.
