The Chesterton wrestling team put three wrestlers in the finals and finished seventh overall at the Hobart Invitational on Saturday.

The three Trojan wrestlers in the Finals included Zack Thornton at 125, Anthony Quiroz at 160 and Tony Sanchez at 171. All three brought home runner-up trophies.

Thornton dropped an 8-2 decision against Mishawaka’s Taylor Wisler, while Sanchez fell 7-6 to Joe Peco of Hobart. At 160, Quiroz fell to No. 1-ranked Sean McMurray of Portage 4-1.

Chris Katsafaros won the consolation finals at 130 pounds with a fall victory over Portage’s Niko Martinez, while Brandon Garvey lost in the consolation finals to Lake Central’s Mike Taylor 3-0.
