CHS Volleyball falls to LaPorte

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped a 25-17, 25-12, 25-15 Duneland Athletic Conference decision to LaPorte on Tuesday night.

Offensively, the Trojans were led by Katie Nelson and Brooke Smith with four kills each. Reese Czarniecki, Emma Ekblaw and Ella Rodriguez each recorded one kill.

Maggie Vrahoretis dished out a team-high nine assists.

Defensively, Rodriguez led the way with 15 digs, while AJ Devereaux and Nelson had 10 digs each. Eva Everett, Greta Tilden and Vrahoretis all recorded nine digs in the loss.

At the net, Ekblaw had four kills with Ekblaw and Nelson each tallying two aces from the service line.

Chesterton returns to the court on Thursday when they host Lake Central. The JV game is set for a 5 p.m. start.
