CHS Volleyball falls to Crown Point

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped a 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 Duneland Athletic Conference decision to Crown Point on Tuesday night.

Offensively, Emma Ekblaw led the Trojans with 12 kills, while Maggie Vrahoretis added eight kills. Meghan Gaffigan contributed four kills with Reese Czarniecki and Brooke Smith each tallying three kills.

Grace Newman dished out a team-high 17 assists and Vrahoretis added 13 helpers.

Defensively, Katie Nelson had 18 digs with Gaffigan adding nine kills. Newman recorded eight digs and Vrahoretis tallied six digs.

At the net, Czarniecki and Gaffigan each had four blocks, while Ekblaw and Rodriguez added three blocks.

On the service line, Nelson had two aces.
