CHS Volleyball falls to Andrean in 3 games

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped its first decision of the season 25-11, 25-10, 25-19 to Andrean on Monday night.

Offensively, the Trojans were led by Taylor Bowser with four kills, while Kristin Stillman and Ella Whitmore added three kills each. Ariel Rohe and Paige Seely each contributed two kills.

Olivia Smilgius dished out a team-best five assists and Whitmore added four helpers.

Defensively, Lorann Lombardini, Bowser, Sammy Devereaux and Stillman each had five digs. Whitmore tallied four digs in the loss.

At the net, Rohe and Seely each had four block kills. Devereaux had two service aces.

Chesterton returns to the court tonight when they head to LaPorte to open Duneland Athletic Conference play. The junior varsity match is set for a 5 p.m. start.
