CHS Tennis has first loss at SB St. Joseph

The Chesterton girls tennis team fell for the first time on Monday night with a 3-2 loss at South Bend St. Joseph’s.

The Trojans won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for their two points. Meg Modesto beat Sid Carrigan 6-0, 6-0 in the top spot, while Margaret Shinn beat Mary Mullaney 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.

Chesterton’s only real shot at a third team point came at No. 3 singles where JJ Lee dropped a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 decision to Amanda Hastings.

In doubles, the Indians won at No. 1 6-3, 6-0 and at No. 2 6-2, 6-1.
