The CHS girls soccer team had little trouble in picking up an 8-0 non-conference victory over Lowell on Thursday night.

The Trojans wasted little time as they scored twice in the game’s first eight minutes with Addy Joiner taking a ball from Carley Perkins for the opening goal. Just four minutes later, Perkins scored herself on an assist from Courtney Krol.

Olivia Hansen added two first half goals to stake the Trojans to a 4-0 halftime lead.

Joiner and Perkins both added a second goal in the second half, while Jenna Wadding and Olivia Vesling also scored to set the final score.

Hansen dished out two assists in the victory with Sydney Stott, Caroline Liapes and Vesling joined Perkins and Krol with assists as well.

Christine Jackson (1 save) and Molly McLaughlin (3 saves) combined for the shutout.

Chesterton returns to the field on Saturday when they host Hobart. The JV game is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
