CHS Girls Golf falls twice in DAC triangular

The Chesterton girls golf team dropped a pair of Duneland Athletic Conference decisions on Thursday at Sand Creek Country Club.

Crown Point won the triangular with a 175-team score, followed by Portage (213) and the Trojans (214).

Madison Simms led Chesterton on the Marsh Course with a 47, while Brooke Smith (54), Peyton Martinson (55), Katelyn McCoy (58) and Addison Gentry (60) followed.

Portage’s Olivia Wood won medalist honors with a 40.

The Trojans return to the course on Tuesday when they travel to Lake Central to face the Indians and Merrillville. Tee time is 4 p.m.

Portage -- Olivia Wood 40, Peyton Panozzo 56, Hannah Doell 58, Gina Kapinos 59, Jordan Jacobs 68.
