The Chesterton girls basketball team struggled from the floor and dropped a 52-37 non-conference decision to Plymouth on Wednesday night.

The Trojans found themselves down 38-17 after three quarters and a 20-point fourth quarter wasn’t enough to bail them out.

Ashley Craycraft led CHS with 16 points and Marney Sisson added 12 points in the loss.

Rounding out the scoring were Molly Slatcoff (3 points), Haley Moore (3 points) and Emma Schmidt (3 points),

The Trojans hit on just 10-of-41 shots (24 percent) from the field and were 3-of-14 (21 percent) from behind the three-point arc.

Chesterton returns to the court on Friday when they travel to Portage. The JV tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
