CHS Girls blank Elkhart in soccer

The Chesterton girls soccer team honored nine seniors and came away with a 5-0 non-conference victory over Elkhart on Saturday night.

I was very pleased with our play, Chesterton coach Ben Forgey said. It was a nice show and celebration for our seniors.

The Trojans got goals from Addy Joiner (2), Sydney Scott, Kaitlyn Kogl and Annalise Hackett in the victory.

Grace Barber, Gina Genentech and Tia Seerup all dished out assists.

Carley Balas played the first 70 minutes in goal before giving way to Addysun Arndt.

Chesterton returns to the field tonight when they host Crown Point. The JV game will kickoff at 5 p.m.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 3, Elkhart 1

The Chesterton junior varsity picked up a 3-1 win over Elkhart Saturday night.

Goal scorers for the Trojans were Tia Seerup (2 goals) and Olivia Montes. Emma Skalka handed out a pair of assists.

In goal, CHS used the quartet of Addysun Arndt, Emma Pape, Abigail Dennington and Madison Davis.
