CHS Boys Soccer splits games

The No. 3 ranked Chesterton boys soccer team split a pair of games on Saturday.

In the opener, the Trojans dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 6 Northridge. Zack Bowser scored CHS’ lone goal and Jacob Perkins had an assist.

In the nightcap, the Trojans beat Highland 2-1.

Ryan O’Dell and Tommy Oros scored goals, while Josh Wadowski had an assist.

Chesterton returns to the field Wednesday when they host Lake Central. The JV game is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Junior Varsity

The Chesterton junior varsity boys improved to 5-1-2 on the year with two wins on Saturday.

Against Northridge, the Trojans won 2-0 with goals from Danny Serianni and Josh Pearson.

Carlos Cano dished out an assist and Christian Kelly had eight saves in goals.

Against Highland, the Trojans won 2-0 with goals from Will Aurrechio and Cano. Ethan Schlyer handed out an assist.

Ryan McWhirter recorded four saves in the shutout.
