CHS Boys Soccer beats Portage 6-0

The Chesterton boys soccer team scored four first half goals and cruised to a 6-0 Duneland Athletic Conference victory at Portage on Wednesday.

Zack Bowser led the Trojan offense with three goals, while Josh Wadowski added two goals. Nick Biel tallied the other goal for CHS.

Biel dished out a team-best two assists with Bowser, Gage Torres and Matteo Guerrero also handing out helpers.

Ethan Boedeker recorded two saves in picking up the shutout victory in goal.

Chesterton returns to the field on Saturday when they host Concord beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 2, Portage 0

The Chesterton boys soccer junior varsity team improved to 9-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the DAC with a 2-0 win over Portage on Wednesday.

John Kovalan and John Paul McCrovitz scored for Chesterton, while Danny Sarianni and Ben Powell provided assists.

Christian Kelly recorded three saves in the shutout.
