nearly 24 hours, the Chesterton softball team wasted little time.
The Trojans took a
2-0 lead immediately on Tuesday night en route to an 8-0 victory in the
completion of their IHSAA Sectional opening round game against Michigan City

Valparaiso will face off at 5 p.m. in the other semifinal.
“I think it was
important to play well to start the tournament,” Hopson said. “I don’t know
what tomorrow is going to bring, but we told the kids we are only worrying
about one pitch, one inning at a time.”
