Chesterton Golfers drop DAC trimeet

The Chesterton boys golf team ran into the areaís top two teams and fell in a Duneland Athletic Conference tri-meet against Valparaiso and Crown Point at Forest Park.

The No. 4-ranked Vikings shot 145 to edge the Bulldogs (149), while the Trojans fired a 163.

Evan Zondor led CHS with a 39, while Brandon Martin (40) and John Kelley (41) followed. Zach Von Huben (43) and Scott Chemma (43) rounded out the scoring.

The Chesterton junior varsity got a 44 from Kyle Krol, but it wasnít enough as they dropped a pair of decisions to Valparaiso and Crown Point at Forest Park.

Eric Richardsonís 45 was followed by Conner Gaffigan (46), Zach Bogich (51) and Michael Zondor (52).
