Chesterton Girls beat Hammond Clark 64-22

The Chesterton girls basketball team built a 33-15 halftime lead and cruised to a 64-22 non-conference victory at Hammond Clark on Saturday.

Jocelyn Lipscomb led the Trojan offense with 17 points, including 6-of-6 from the floor (3 3-pointers). Caroline Puntillo finished with 14 points.

Rounding out the scoring for Chesterton were Sarah Richards (8 points), Kelsey Conway (1 point), Kassidy Scott (6 points), Hailee Norton (1 point), Hayley Sekula (6 points), Jordan Wadding (4 points), Natalie Petro (4 points) and Lauren Kusbel (3 points).

Puntillo and Wadding each grabbed five rebounds for the Trojans. Conway dished out four assists and had four steals in the victory.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 59, Hammond Clark 6

The Chesterton junior varsity had little trouble in picking up a 59-6 victory over Hammond Clark on Saturday.

Lia Lombardini and Shannon McCoy led the Trojans with nine points each, while Xaundra Rodriguez and Taylor Eaton both tallied eight points.

Rounding out the scoring were Tara Schnadenberg (6 points), Teresa Raffin (5 points), Camie Brown (4 points), Sam Warren (4 points), Morgan Skube (4 points) and Megan Kerkes (2 points).

Lombardini, Eaton and McCoy all grabbed a game-high five rebounds, while McCoy also dished out four assists.
