The Chesterton boys basketball team used a 20-0 run to finish the first quarter and cruised to a 68-17 victory over Hammond Clark on Saturday night.

The Trojans stifling defense limited the visiting Pioneers to just 5-of-19 shooting (26 percent) from the floor in the game, while hitting on 28-of-54 (52 percent) themselves.

Chris Palombizio led Chesterton with 19 points with Jacob Wasielewski finished with 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Rhyss Lewis added 11 points in the victory.

Corey Rusboldt recorded a team-best six steals as Niles Dilosa added seven points, four assists and five steals.

The Chesterton junior varsity improved to 5-3 on the year with a 62-13 victory over Hammond Clark.

Jared Struss led the Trojans offense with 14 points, while Ethan Conway added 10 points (5 steals, 3 assists).

Jack Mullen scored nine points (4 steals, 3 assists) with Patrick Tilden adding eight points (6 rebounds, 5 assists) and Antwan Beeks tallying eight points (3 assists).
