The No. 1 ranked Chesterton boys swim team won every event and had little trouble in picking up a 146-40 Duneland Athletic Conference victory over Lake Central on Tuesday.

“It was a little bit of a mismatch,” Chesterton coach Kevin Kinel said. “We swam around a little bit on the boys sides, but had some pretty decent splits. I was pretty pleased with things.”

Double individual winners for the Trojans included Ethan Whitaker in the 200 Free (1:43.53) and the 500 Free (4:41.71), Blake Pieroni in the 50 Free (21.07) and the 100 Breast (58.52) and Aaron Whitaker in the 200 IM (1:53.78) and the 100 Back (50.30).

Other event winners included Andrew Claudio in Diving (246.95) and Jack Kurfman in the 100 Free (49.64).

The Trojans also won all three relays with a victory from Aaron Whitaker, Jack Waller, Pieroni and Patrick Curley in the 200 Medley Relay (1:35.16).

CHS also won the 200 Free Relay with the quartet of Waller, Pieroni, Kurfman and Ethan Whitaker (1:28.16) and the 400 Free Relay with Ethan Whitaker, Kurfman, Curley and Aaron Whitaker (3:16.54).
