Back To Front Page

Addy Joiner has been consistent.

The Chesterton senior forward scored three more goals on Saturday in the Trojans’ 7-1 victory at Hobart and became the school’s all-time record holder in goals scored.

Joiner broke the record of 91 set by Leslie Nelson in 2000.

“I feel great for Addy,” Chesterton coach Ben Forgey said. “She’s a great kid, great player and great teammate. She’s worked so hard at her game since she was really young. It’s not easy to maintain that type of high level consistently when everyone knows her and is trying to stop her.”

Other goals for CHS came from Grace Bamber, Kaitlyn Kogl, Ingrid Hurst and Sophie DeRuntz. DeRuntz also handed out two assists, while Sydney Stott and Ali Drewes each recorded helpers.

Addyson Arndt, Carley Balas and Emma Pape combined in goal for the victory.
