The Chesterton varsity volleyball completed the best regular season in school
history with a 25-8, 25-14, 22-25, 25-11 victory over East Chicago Central on
Thursday night.
The Trojans finished the regular season with a school-record 30 wins and have
24 straight matches.
Offensively, Chesterton was led by Kaelyn Marcus with 10 kills, while Nikki
Gamblin and Emily Mozwecz each had six kills. MaryBeth Ryan tallied five
kills in the win. Setter Amanda Gough dished out 13 assists.
Defensively, Stephanie Harrell and Elissa Herakovich had 17 digs, while
Cassie Recker had 13 digs and Kirstyn Nallenweg had 12 digs. Kathleen Maple
had 10 digs. Gough and Amanda Vasquez each had eight digs with Morgan
Palombizio getting seven digs.
Ryan and Marcus each had four block kills, while Gamblin and Abby Skube each
had two block kills.

with a two-game sweep of East Chicago Central.
Michelle Fekete led the offense with six kills, while Claire Holba added
three kills. Emily Leonard had seven service aces.
Defensively, Amanda Robey had eight digs, while Jessica Peterson had seven
digs.
