Habitat for Humanity Home on Porter County BZA agenda

Habitat for Humanity of Porter County is on the Wednesday agenda for the Porter County Board of Zoning appeals to request approval for reduction of minimum size and width of a lot at 375 U.S. Highway 6 in the South Haven area.

The BZA will convene at 6:30 p.m. in Room 205 of the County Administration Building, 155 Indiana Ave.

The lot is located in a Medium Density Single-family Residential District. Presenting the request will be attorney Todd Leeth of Hoeppner, Wagner and Evans.

Also under new business, Lisa Lazorik-Hines of 628 South Ind. 2, in Boone Twp. is petitioning the BZAís approval to allow for the minimum lot area of 10 acres to be reduced to a 5 acre parcel with an existing primary structure in a General Agriculture District.

Next, Brooke Scherrbaum of 69 West County Road 900S in Pleasant Twp. will request approval to allow the operation of a dog grooming business out of the primary structure in a General Agriculture District.

Derek Radosevich of 645 West County Road 350N in Union Twp. is on the agenda requesting approval for a proposed accessory structure to be placed in the front yard of a lot zoned Rural Residential.

Louis and Diana Asher will request approval for splitting 7.47 acres into one 1.93 acre lot and one 5.28 acre lot on the southeast side 264 West Division in Porter Twp. They also wish the BZA to deem the two lots as buildable for single family living in a Low Density Single-family Residential District.
