Dog rescue shelter in Liberty Township on County DRC agenda

The Porter County Development Review Committee will meet on Wednesday at 9 a.m. to hear three cases including a proposed rescue dog shelter in Liberty Township.

American Greyhound, Inc., represented by attorney Todd Leeth, will have an informal review of its request to allow a rescue dog shelter in a Rural Residential district. The location would be 950 N. County Road 100W on 10.05 acres.

Also, TAZ Properties LLC will request site plan approval for construction of three storage units at 392 East U.S. 30 in Washington Twp., which is zoned Light Industrial.

Continued from last month, the Committee will review a request for primary plat approval of a four lot minor subdivision at Hayes Leonard Rd., 560 feet north of Ind. 2 in Center Twp. The request is being made by CR Holdings LLC and the property is zoned Low Density Single-family Residential.

The Development Review Committee will be meeting in Room 205 of the County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Ave. in Valparaiso.
