County planners to look at plats for St. Andrews senior living community

Back To Front Page

The Porter County Plan Commission meets for its regular meeting this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The one item on the agenda is a primary plat approval request from St. Andrews Development of its senior living community located on the north end of the 109-acre property immediately west of Porter Regional Hospital at U.S. 6.

The “age-targeted” community is on approximately 18 acres between where the Damon Run passes and the Timberland Subdivision which is to the north, attorney Todd Leeth said. It has been zoned R-1 Single Family Residential, he said.

The plat will display the current plans for roadways and water and sewer lines for the senior living community only. It does not include the proposed assisted living facilities or the medical buildings to the south, Leeth said.

The Plan Commission will meet in Suite 205 of the County Administration Building, 155 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso.
